After the success of last year’s Big Give Campaign we have decided to take part again this year and have increased our target to £11,000.
Money raised this year will help us launch our new ‘Trauma Informed Coaching’ project, which is an exciting and innovative new project we are launching this year to assist individuals who have experienced trauma as a result of exploitation, to understand their trauma and how it impacts their lives, so that they are able to learn strategies to move forward in their futures.
This is not counselling but rather an opportunity for individuals to have space to build restorative, positive mindsets, that can lead to enhanced decision making and the ability to cope more resiliently with future adversity.
Along with a funder, these funds will be used to double donations made to the charity during the campaign.
UPDATE! We managed to hit our target of £11,000 - a massive thank you to everyone who supported us!
The campaign was from 30th November to 7th December and every donation was doubled during this time in order to hit our target.
Christmas 2020 - What an amazing week we had!
We did not know what to expect when we went into the Big Give Christmas Challenge at the beginning of December; this was our first fundraising event... but it could not have gone better!
Our Big Give fundraising campaign aimed to raise £10,000 to help us to continue to provide face to face support through our wonderful caseworkers.
We raised 65% of our target on day 1 and had exceeded our target by Day 8! Through the week we raised a massive £12,630 including Gift Aid.
The funds that were over the £10,000 - which is a massive £2,630 - will go into our client fund, which will help us to provide financial support to individuals we work with when they have specific needs such as; supporting with essential items when they move into their first home, to support with travel expenses for essential appointments or to help with food or other needs when faced with financial hardship.
We want to say a massive Thank You from the Rebuild Team, to everyone who generously donated to help us get to reach our target, as well as everyone who shared, liked and commented on our social media throughout the week. We cannot say Thank You enough for your support and willingness to partner in rebuilding lives in 2021.
