What we do...
CASEWORK SUPPORT
At Rebuild we we support individuals in many practical ways. Each person is allocated a caseworker and together they find the support needs that the individual requires. We assist with accessing housing and liaise with Derby City Council on behalf of our individuals and accompany them (where required) to viewings and appointments. If we can, we will help with the practicalities of house moves, and signpost to organisations such as Hope Furniture and the YMCA in order to acquire furniture. |
We assist with registering with GPs, opening bank accounts and claiming benefits. We will signpost them to relevant training courses and ESOL classes where this is a need. We advocate on behalf of individuals to engage with statutory agencies, and support with identifying legal assistance if required.
Emotional support is a very important part of our service. We have provided access to Creative Arts Therapy sessions both in a small group setting as well as one to one.
There are opportunities for our individuals to access small group sessions such as learning to sew. This has helped in increasing confidence, making new friends and socialising, as well as improving chances of employability by learning a new skill. We support individuals to become job ready, for example, helping to creating or updating their CVs, and signposting to local job-clubs. We also work with Just Ice, who offer supported employment.
We are able to support individuals with families and children by providing support with access to school and any other services that may be involved with the family. We also work in collaboration with the New Arrivals Team in Derby to support individuals more efficiently.

ONE TO ONE WELLBEING SUPPORT
We offer 1-1 tailored wellbeing coaching sessions for individuals, to provide them with the essential tools for their emotional wellbeing. These sessions are future focussed, to build their confidence and sense of empowerment, and provide a holistic package for their mental and physical health. We work with individuals at their pace to encourage simple goal setting to give some accountability, motivation and responsibility and a sense of achievement. |
REBUILD GROUPS & ACTIVITIES
Rebuild project aims to provide a bridge for individuals we work with, to establish connections in the community where they can build friendships and thrive in all aspects of life. However, we recognise that this can be a daunting experience and a huge step for some of the individuals that we work with. We acknowledge that meeting others and building relationships may not be so easy for some, therefore we run small structured groups and activities that not only support the individuals' wellbeing and help reduce social isolation, but also create opportunities to learn more skills and build confidence. Examples of these are coffee mornings, craft groups, IT groups as well as sewing groups. These are safe spaces for those we support, and are built in collaboration and participation with individuals that we support so that they can gain skills, information and support. We also work in partnership with other organisations to facilitate sessions for our individuals that promote wellbeing. If you would like to partner with us, or volunteer with one of our groups, please contact us. See our COVID page for news and resources used during the pandemic. |
